Adventure Continues
I distinctly remember this wonderful photoshoot with the talented photographer. I was communicating with the photographer throughout the weekday to collaborate. On Friday, I checked my message from our communication on Thursday, asking the photographer when he would be available, and he responded with Saturday. When I read that, I started panicking because I was not prepared to shoot the next day. However, I was very determined and I was immediately reminded of this quote, “we yearn for opportunities, we pray for opportunities and we seek for opportunities. The good news is that we meet opportunities. The bad news is that we miss the opportunities only to come to a later realization of missed opportunities.” I thought to myself that I cannot miss this opportunity, and I’m so glad that I didn’t.
On the day of the photoshoot, I woke up early at 7 AM to get ready to meet with the photographer at 9 AM located in the Jewelry District of Los Angeles. Some of the preparation includes making sure that I have all of my outfits in my bag, showering, putting on makeup, and lastly, to make sure that I leave the house on time. When I met with the photographer, we introduced ourselves and he brought out one softbox light for our outdoor photoshoot. I looked through the photographer’s portfolio before contacting him and I loved his work. That is why, I was even more impressed when our outdoor photoshoot consisted of a softbox light. Another thing to keep in mind is that he didn’t know which outfits I was bringing. During the photoshoot, he was able to instruct us to migrate to certain locations depending on my outfits, and I could tell that he has a creative eye for photography. Alongside, he would change the angle of the way he captured the pictures depending on my poses - whether it was to lower his camera closer to the ground level or to point the camera upwards, etc. It was a very memorable photoshoot and it’s honestly the people who we work with or interact with that makes it memorable. This was one of the most delightful photoshoots that motivated me to continue working with photographers in Los Angeles.
